2. Procedure

2.1. Start Windows Explorer

Power on the IPC.

Double tap on Computer to open Windows Explorer.

2.2. Browse to the daily backup folder (D:/RBJ-BACKUP/DBU)

Double tap on DATA (D:) to open the drive.

Double tap on the RBJ-BACKUP folder to open it.

Double tap on the DBU folder to open the daily backup folder.

2.3. Select backup to restore

Every time the IPC is started a backup of the Mill-Assist software is made in the DBU folder. The backups are compressed in zip files with the date of creation in the name (YYYY-MM-DD_bkp.zip).

Select a backup from a date when you know the software was working correctly. All changes you made since that backup will get lost so preferably take the most recent, but working backup.

Note Note

Every time the IPC is started a backup is taken, even if the Mill-Assist software is not working correctly. A backup could contain a version of the software that is not working!

2.4. Copy files to restore

Double tap on the backup you have selected.

Select all files (Organize - Select all) and copy them (Organize - Copy).

2.5. Browse to the installation folder (D:/RoboJob_Systemfiles)

Go back to DATA (D:). Double tap on the RoboJob_Systemfiles folder to open it. On some installations the name of this folder can vary.

2.6. Restore the backup

Note Note

All changes made between the time the backup is made and the moment you put the files back, will be lost. If you are not sure, make a copy of this folder to an USB stick.

Select all files and folders from the installation folder (Organize - Select all) and delete them (Organize - Delete).

Then paste the files from the backup (Organize - Paste). The files will be copied to the installation folder.

2.7. Verify shortcut on desktop

Verify that the shortcut to start the software is pointing to the correct file.

Do a long press on the shortcut to get the context menu.

Press on Properties. In the properties window select the tab labeled Shortcut and verify that target is pointing to the file you have restored from the backup. For example D:/RoboJob_Systemfiles/millassist-2.11.3-jar-with-dependencies.jar.

2.8. Start the software

You can now start using the software. Please verify that restoring the software has the expected result.
